It has been somewhat of a frustrating season for PGA Tour player, Adam Hadwin, following a season in which he posted a win last year and a round of 59, but he’s hoping to turn it around when the FedEx playoffs begin this week.

The day before the 2018 Canadian Open began, I went to Glen Abbey, the course where this year’s tournament took place, and approached some of the golfers to talk about balls and other aspects of the game. Veteran Jim Furyk (Callaway Chrome Soft), proved to be quite engaging.

You have to give credit to the United States Golf Association and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club for modernizing the game with some progressive rule changes, making if far less complicated for players of all ages and abilities, and let’s hope the collective bodies put to rest any suggestion of rolling the ball back.

It seems hard to believe but the Masters is only five weeks away. Where did the time go? It seems like only yesterday the 2016-17 season was concluding, one which may have been one of the most important in years because of the shift of new players vying for top spot in the Professional Golf Association World Golf Ranking.
