Not sure I’m all that crazy about the PGA’s plans to change the FedEx Cup next year, but I can’t wait for this year’s Tour Championship.

I’m hooked on the FedEx Cup! I had never been quite attracted to a tournament that came after all the majors, even if it had a $10 million prize, but this year is different.

The 2018 PGA Championship concludes this year’s four majors, which will undergo a significant schedule change next year, and I can’t make up mind between picking Dustin Johnson (TaylorMade TP5x) or Justin Rose (TaylorMade TP5x).

The day before the 2018 Canadian Open began, I went to Glen Abbey, the course where this year’s tournament took place, and approached some of the golfers to talk about balls and other aspects of the game. Veteran Jim Furyk (Callaway Chrome Soft), proved to be quite engaging.

Go figure. At the end of the gusty 2018 Open at Carnoustie, the last man standing was Italy’s Francesco Molinari (Titleist Pro V1x), probably the least likely choice
