1 Billion and Counting: PG Golf and LostGolfBalls.com Hit Historic Milestone

Sugar Land, Texas (June 24th, 2026) PG Golf and LostGolfBalls.com proudly announced today the sale of their 1 billionth recycled golf ball, marking a historic milestone in the company’s mission to make golf more affordable and environmentally sustainable.

Founded in 1992 by Gary Krueger and David Jones, PG Golf and LostGolfBalls.com have become a trusted name among more than 1 million golfers, offering a wide selection of over 400 golf ball models. The golf balls are sourced from trusted golf course partners across the country and around the world. For Rodney Chamblee, General Manager of PG Golf, the milestone represents far more than a sales achievement.

“This event represents more than just a number,” Chamblee said. “It reflects decades of trust from golfers and partners, as well as our commitment to sustainability and innovation.”

This milestone comes on the heels of the company’s expansion into an 88,000 sq. ft. facility in Sugar Land, completed in 2022. The facility features proprietary AI-powered sorting technology and an eco-friendly cleaning process, ensuring consistent quality while minimizing environmental impact. Since their conception, the company has recycled over 50,000 tons of discarded rubber, surlyn, and urethane.

To commemorate the occasion, PG Golf and LostGolfBalls.com hosted a celebration attended by the Mayor of Sugar Land, along with team members and partners. Golfers across the country joined in through a nationwide livestream, which featured a countdown to the sale of the 1 billionth ball.

Among those celebrating the milestone was David Jones, one of the company's founders, who reflected on the journey from a small operation to an industry leader.

“We started out washing golf balls ourselves and sorting golf balls by hand,” Jones said. “Now look at what we’ve built. Anyone who’s here 15 years from now will probably be celebrating the 2 billionth ball.”

As PG Golf and LostGolfBalls.com look to the future, they remain focused on expanding their technology, selection, and environmental impact—continuing to lead the way in recycled golf ball innovation.

Clark and Burns Play Well, But in the Wrong Tournament

Wyndham Clark (Titleist Pro V1x) and Sam Burns (Callaway Chrome Tour X) did just what I thought they would, albeit a week later. Heading into Canadian Open, I picked Clark and Burns as my two choices in the PG Golf pool. It was the second time using both in the pool, and you are only allowed to pick a player twice. I loved Clark’s form – he had won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and tied for third in the Memorial Tournament.

Canadian Open's Fate Depends on the PGA Tour's Future Plans

I had to laugh during the broadcast of the Canadian Open when there was a logjam at 10-under in the second round and one of the broadcasters on The Golf Channel referred to Canada as the home of lumberjacks. Yes, Canada is big into logging, albeit mainly in British Columbia, but as someone who lives in Canada, I wouldn’t say we are the home of lumberjacks. Maple syrup is more like it.
